Updated May 2022. After a hiatus of several years, we are excited to confirm that Cape May Restaurant Week is happening this year! For eight days in June (the 5th – 12th) participating restaurants offer a special prix fixe menu. If you are a foodie, or just want to enjoy great food, this is a perfect time to plan a visit to Cape May. The weather has warmed up, the full summer crowds have not yet arrived, and the roses and magnolias are in full bloom! Canโt you imagine the smell? Book your room now and start planning which restaurants you will be visiting!
Here are the details of how Cape May Restaurant Week works.
What is the Cost?
There are no tickets or wristbands required for this event. Unlike previous years, each participating restaurant is setting its own prix fixe amount. Details are available online, along with menus. Expect prices per person to range between $40 to $65.
What is Included in Prix Fixe?
The term โprix fixeโ means that the price for the entire meal is established in advance. The courses that are included for Restaurant Week are an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert from a special menu. Beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are NOT included, nor are taxes and gratuities.
You are not required to choose from the special menu. You or any member of your party may select items from the regular menu, at the regular price. However, the chef has created these special menus, usually at a favorable price to highlight their culinary talents.
Do I Need a Reservation?
Although reservations are not required, it is always advisable to make a reservation. That way, you can be sure to have your dinner at your chosen restaurant and preferred time. Be aware that each restaurant may have different reservation methods, so make sure you check online.
